Raced go-karts from 1989 to 1994; attended the Elf Winfield School in 1995; won the 1996 Cal Club Formula Ford 1600 Championship; competed in the 1997 KOOL Toyota Atlantic Championship series, winning the C2 class at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca; raced Sports 2000 at Laguna Seca in 1998; contested U.S. F2000 National Championship events in 1999 and 2000; raced USAC midgets from 2001 to 2007.

Long Beach Grand Prix. “This was the first race I was able to see Indy Cars, Indy Lights and Atlantics up close. I also enjoyed the cool weather and the downtown atmosphere during the race weekend.”
